...August, 2003

Dear Friends,

Well, it is August again and the sun is hot and the living is easy! Unless you have kids home from school, then we won't talk about that. Hopefully you have a deck or patio or a big shade tree where you can invite friends and family to barbecue a hot dog or a veggie burger. Someplace where you can sit in the shade and talk about summers past and summer loves. Maybe you have open-air concerts close by, or friends with a nice swimming pool. Where ever your spending it I hope you are having a great summer so far, and that the coming days and weeks are filled with lazy afternoons and nights filled with romance and love songs, friends, family and good books.

Enjoy!
Bill

  Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain

I must admit I had never picked up this book before, but once I got it in my hands I became fascinated with Gawain's clear presentation and instructions on a subject that I was exposed to years ago. Did you ever create a Treasure Map or tape pictures of things you want to the refrigerator?

Creative Visualization is the art of using mental imagery and affirmation to produce positive changes in your life. It is being successfully used in the fields of health, education, business, athletics, and the creative arts. This book contains meditations, exercises, and techniques that can become part of our everyday routine to increase our personal mastery of life.

Shakti Gawain's classic guide teaches methods that are practical and easy to incorporate into daily life. These straightforward techniques can help us to use the power of our imagination to create what we want in life, change negative habit patterns, improve self-esteem, reach career goals, increase prosperity, develop creativity, increase vitality and improve our health, experience deep relaxation, and much more!

Softcover, 191 pp., $10.95

The Watcher by Jim Rosemergy

This is not a book for everyone. It is not a book to be quickly read. A portion of one chapter would be sufficient for an evening's meditation. Its meaning is revealed in moments of quiet reflection and openness to Spirit.

Written in the tradition of Kahlil Gibran's THE PROFIT, THE WATCHER stirs the soul and reveals truths that the soul has always known. Through the rhythm and cadence of the words, a harmony is established between the reader and the Watcher, her adventures, and the insights she shares.

THE WATCHER is a call to contemplation. If you begin or end your day in thoughtfulness, you will find THE WATCHER and ideal companion. Many find it to be daily bread, for it feeds a part of them that they had forgotten needed to be nourished.

Softcover, 72 pp., $8.95.

Open Your Mind and Be Healed by Johnnie Colemon

I had the good fortune to attend the Rev. Dr. Johnnie Colemon's church a few year ago. Once you are in her presence you will never forget her. Teachers like Rev. Colemon don't come around that often. Here is powerful advise from a great woman of spirit and soul. Here she shows us how to do what she has been doing for years ---- how to stand on our own spiritual feet.

"My book," she writes, "is written from a spiritual stand point of healing, rather than an intellectual one. The intellect is necessary, but it is the spiritual that is the moving force for the healing to take place."

For the past 50 years, Rev. Colemon has preached a single message. "God's desire for everyone is absolute good." From happiness and prosperity to health, the message has always been the same and her church, the largest New Thought church in the world and the largest seating-capacity church in Chicago, is living proof of her success.

Johnnie Colemon's healing journey began when she was diagnosed with an incurable disease in the early 1950's and decided to change her own prognosis. Since her recovery, she could only think of one mission in life---to share this profound understanding of spiritual Principle with the world through her ministry, and now with her book, OPEN YOUR MIND and BE HEALED.

Hardcover, 90 pp., $14.95.
