From the Desk of....Bill Ferguson

Dear Friends,

We subscribe to a trade publication entitled NEW AGE RETAILER. This magazine's mission is to support the success of store owners and buyers by providing independent product reviews, retail advise, and coverage of the New Age and spiritual-living industry.

In a recent issue they published the results of a survey they did on stores best-selling authors, and to our surprise they printed our response. There it was, at the top of the article, me, talking about one of our best-selling authors, Eric Butterworth, and giving credit to Unity Center Bookstore of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The results of the survey showed that some of the nations best-selling authors were not represented on our shelves.  After a discussion with Rev. Ann Marie, we decided to explore some of these books that I had previously thought were too "New Age" for a Unity bookstore., still being unclear on the terms "New Age" and "New Thought."

So, in an effort to offer books that appeal to all of our diverse congregation we will be featuring one of the top. best-selling, so called "New Age" books and authors each month, for the next few months. Our aim is to gain an openness and appreciation for multiple spiritual perspectives.
