UNITY POWER STONESEarly writings on the twelve powers go back to the work of New Thought pioneers Emma Curtis Hopkins and Annie Rix Militz in the late nineteenth century. Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, Unity's co founders, were part of a group of metaphysicians who experimented with and discussed these ideas. Charles wrote early articles about inner power, and his book Christian Healing (1909) discusses some of these powers, although his ideas were not yet fully formed. On April 24, 1912, he published in Weekly Unity the introduction of what was to become his book "The Twelve Powers of Man". This introduction proved popular and was reprinted several times. In 1920 Charles published the series "The Twelve Powers of Man," and it was reprinted in 1925-26 and 1929-30 in Unity Magazine. The twelve powers are:
How to use Power Stones: Power Stones are not all powerfull symbols that you simply hold onto and bam, magic is worked. Each stone has its special ability that can be used to help you focus your energies to accomplish a certain task. It is through this concentration of energy that the stone helps you work your magic. Use them as a visualization tool. Visualize the stone you are using to manifest the desired results. , e.g. "My sick friend is full of strength", or "My mood is changing to one of love". Lay one in a place you will see it often. Each time you see the colorful stone you will be reminded of greater imagination, or divine order, or strong faith. These are just a few uses for Unity Power Stones. The possibilities are endless. Complete set in gift bag, $16.50

Things to Think About....
They Just Appeared
We were doing ok, financially, not good, but ok. But the really good foods, like a good rib eye or filet mignon we were used to were few and far between in our household at the time. And that was ok but occasionally, I would really want a good steak. I had been reading Joel Goldsmith's writings and had been meditating on the idea of "oneness". Joel Goldsmith's position is that "oneness is the key". Supply exhibits itself once you have the consciousness of God as supply because their is only one supply and that is God. The outward manifestation of our good was merely a symbol of that inward consciousness. Furthermore, it required NO planning, plotting or scheming on our part. Whatever was (or is) needed appears when it is needed or wanted. It may be food one day, clothing the next, an airplane ticket the next, etc. I spend a good portion of my day where my hands are occupied but not my mind. So I passed that time by contemplating my oneness with God as Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient. I spent many moments out of the day only contemplating "Oneness". On my way home, I was physically tired after the day's work--almost weary. As I was navigating the traffic on the expressway, I suddenly thought--"Boy, I would sure like to have a good steak". I then promptly forgot I had even had the thought. It never entered my consciousness again and I did not mention it to anyone. I completed the day's activities and went to bed. The next morning, I got up and, as is my practice, opened the refrigerator to get some orange juice. There smack dab in the middle of the refrigerator were three uncooked steaks. One filet mignon (my favorite) and two rib eyes!! I was absolutely shocked----no words would come out of my mouth for a few seconds. Then I asked my husband where the steaks had come from. He didn't know they were in there. So I asked my son. He said he got this idea while he was at work last night that it would be fun to cook some of the restaurant steaks at home. So he brought them home! And my unspoken thought of "Boy, I would sure like to have a good steak" was fulfilled! No planning, no plotting, no scheming and no action were required on my part. They just appeared! Want to comment on this story?
