From the Desk of....Bill Ferguson
Dear
Friends,
"On
Thanksgiving holidays, many people traditionally gather with
family/friends to share a special meal. This is a custom which began
when early European settlers feasted with Native Americans. They had
a profound reliance on Divine Providence as the Source of their
supply. We would do well to celebrate accordingly.
That
first Thanksgiving Day in America is shrouded in myth. Historically,
they faced deprivation, hardship, and sickness. Their thanksgiving
feast was far from sumptuous. Indeed, their celebration was one of
faith.
Regardless
of their outward experience of lack and limitation, they still felt
blessed and celebrated accordingly. It should be the same with us.
There are blessings to be found wherever we look. Every day should be
a day of thanksgiving for us." ---- Catherine Ponder.
Special
wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving. Bill
