I love the way that date looks. There is a name for the way those numbers fall, and I cannot think of it as I write this, but the last time this happened was back in the 1300's according to someone I heard on the Today Show this morning.

It is hard to believe it is October already and Fall is in it's glory. I spoke to my sister this morning who is on business in Wisconsin and she said the fall leaves there are not to be believed. We will see it here before too long. Time is passing so fast. We must be having fun!

We had two new releases from Unity House in the past two weeks. FROM THE HEAD TO THE HEART, by Toni Boehm, is an audio book and is available on CD and cassette tapes. Toni is a dear woman who is the Dean of Administration at Unity School. She has been to Unity Center as a guest speaker in the past. She will be the guest speaker at the Unity Church of Practical Christianity in Grand Rapids, MI later this month and will be doing the official installation for Rev. Beverly McPherron in her new church there.

SMACK IN THE MIDDLE OF LIFE, by Peggy Treiber is an attempt at seeing the humor in our daily lives. It is based on true stories of her own life and how she relates to them spiritually. I do not know Ms. Treiber, but evidently, someone at Unity House does.

Both of these were released with no previous publicity. It makes me wonder how dedicated Unity House is to their success. Time will tell.

The exciting news is the re-visit to a wonderful book that Nelda Bloom will be using in her new class beginning October 10th. MIND: THE MASTER POWER, by Charles Roth, took me back to my early days in Unity. First published in 1974, it reminded me of the wonderful, new, exciting world of meditation, affirmations, and creative visualization I first learned about in Unity in the early 1960's. When was the last time you heard about creative visualization? We used to all have treasure maps on our refrigerators. My, how our curriculum has changed. This book will cause you to s-t-r-e-t-c-h, spiritually, and that is a "good thing."
