Prayer at Unity
Prayer is First
Unity is built on the foundation of prayer and meditation. Prayer is putting God first, looking to God for guidance and for every good thing. Unity practices two types of prayer--Affirmative Prayer and Meditative Prayer. Affirmative prayer is speaking words of Truth and Power. Meditative Prayer is resting in the silence and the awareness of God. Scripture refers to this type of prayer as 'touching the hem of the garmet'.
Personal Prayer Team
One-to-one prayer is available every Sunday after the 11:00 A.M. service at the front of the sanctuary.
Silent Prayer Team
Prayer Request Forms are available in the lobby and may be placed in the prayer box. In case of an emergency the Prayer Team can be put in to action by phoning the church at 582-6624 and leaving your message. The prayer team will hold your request in prayer, with you, for thirty days. At the end of thirty days, they are sent to Silent Unity and placed in the Prayer Tower for another thirty days.
If you are a member of this congregation and you or a member of your immediate family desires a home or hospital visit, please contact the church office at 582-6624. We will be happy to set up a visit as soon as possible.
Unity Center’s Prayer Team (582-6624) and Silent Unity (1-800-669-7729) is available for every prayer request. We pray with faith in the goodness of God, affirming good for all who ask for prayer. We believe that God loves each of us and God's will for us is only good.

In the UCT Sanctuary
"So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it."
. . . Isaiah 55:11
Each Wednesday evening we offer a time of quiet meditative prayer. Our time begins by prayerfully affirming words of truth to lift us up to a higher state of consciousness. Then we spend some quiet time in the Silence, resting in the presence of God. Everyone is welcome.
In the words of H. Emilie Cady from the book, Lessons In Truth, "The secret place of the most high (Psalm 91:1) where each one of us may dwell and be safe from all harm or fear…is the point of mystical union between man and Spirit (or god in us) wherein we no longer believe, but know, that God in Christ abides always at the center of our being as our perfect health, deliverance, prosperity, power, ready to come forth into manifestation at any moment we claim it. We know it. We know it. We feel our oneness with the Father, and we manifest this oneness."
