Every Day Grace
|
By: Marianne Williamson
|
Hardcover, 252 pp., $19.95 |
|
What do your spiritual convictions have to do with traffic jams, job anxiety,
reading the newspaper, or arguing with your spouse? Everything, according to Marianne
Williamson. It is the way we live in our everyday world that determines the shape of who
we are. So Buddhist or Muslim, Christian or Jew, it is the moments when our daughter
doesn't make the basketball team, or our best friend lands our dream job, or our business
instinct tells us to bury the guy across the boardroom table, that test and build our living
faith. In these pages, Williamson teaches us to ride the currents of our everyday ups-and-
downs, and she allows us how to find, in each of those moments, an opening to the soul.
She guides us back to our spiritual source, exploring the ways in which we can nurture a
thriving soul in a harsh world. The large and small difficulties of our days challenge us to
open our hearts and minds. And with an attitude of hope, a call to forgive, a celebration of
miracles, Williamson helps us find our sacred footing on ordinary ground. For no matter
where we are or what we are doing, there is the opportunity to be happy. We are entitled
to the pleasures of everyday grace.

Story of Unity
|
By: James Dillet Freeman
|
Hardcover, 274 pp., $15.95 |
|
"Unity began when Myrtle Fillmore received the idea, "I am a child of god and
therefore I do not inherit sickness," and was healed by the power of God in her. The first
fruit of Unity was the healing of the friends and neighbors who came to her with their
physical ills and saw these dissolved through prayer. Unity has always emphasized
healing through the Christ within.
Charles and Myrtle Fillmore had many abilities. They were practical people:
teachers, ministers, healers, builders. But they had vision, too. The worked to turn their
ideas into magazines and buildings, into restored bodies and renewed minds and
illumined lives. But their ideas soared even beyond their accomplishments. They had
the vision of the perfect person in God, and this perfection was their goal. They aimed at
the highest, and how high they mounted! They aimed at eternal life, and how much of
life they won, not only for themselves but for how many others! Because they lived close
in thought and aspiration to God, there was about them an atmosphere of spirituality that
those who were near them felt.
Because Charles and Myrtle Fillmore built on the rock of principle instead of on
the sands of personality, they are as much alive today as they ever were. They live in
every prayer uttered at Unity School; they live in the words of this book and in all the
words of all the magazines and books that go forth in the name of Unity; they live in the
lives of all, perhaps you are one, who have changed their lives by using Truth."

Writing From The Heart
|
By: Templeton Foundation Press
|
Softcover, 189 pp., $12.95 |
|
"Love. Forgiveness. Compassion. Honesty. Perseverance. These are universal
values, timeless laws of life that transcend all cultures and religions. There are literally
hundreds of these spiritual principles that guide us, whatever we do or wherever we go on
our life's journey. But these "laws" can only guide us if we are aware of them, if we
personalize and apply them to our own experience. In short, before we can live by the
laws of life, we must discover them for ourselves.
Writing from the Heart is a tribute to our young people. The 62 essays featured in
the pages of this book illustrate the innate capacity for goodness within all young people,
especially when they are encouraged to reflect upon the treasures they hold inside. From
Chattanooga to China, the essays you will find in this book are extraordinary. Moreover,
they have been honored by their individual communities for the breadth of their ideas and
the life lessons they contain.
Take your time as you read the essays in this book. You are being offered a rare
opportunity to peer into the hearts of young people around the world. What you will learn
about them will astound you."

The losses in our lives are the hardest things we have to face. A loved one dies...A
relationship ends...We lose a job, a friend, a treasured dream...A child is ill...We lose our
physical health, or ability...And, our world turns upside down.
We lose our bearings. We lose our joy. We lose our security. We no longer know

We long for something to take away the pain...to change the circumstance...to
bring back the one we love...to return us, and our lives, to wholeness.

perspective just slightly, we may see that within this experience lie the seeds of a new
beginning...of a new life...of a deeper experience of love and fulfillment than we ever
imagined possible.
This book is about changing perception. It is about healing the losses we have
already experienced, and preparing for the inevitable losses to come. It is about learning
to see the pain of loss as a gift. A gift we didn't ask for, but here it is.
Loss is an inevitable part of being human. And our choice is either to remain in
pain and bitterness, or to learn how to use this experience to grow into a richer, more
fulfilling life.

The Unity Movement
|
By:
Neal Vahle
|
Softcover, 485 pp., $29.95 |
|
Prayer meetings held in 1889 in the Kansas City living room of Charles and
Myrtle Fillmore were the beginning of what grew to be an inter-national religious and
educational movement. THE UNITY MOVEMENT is the first in-depth study of the
people and beliefs that shaped it into one of the fastest growing movements
of our time.
Today 170,000 students are members of Unity centers and churches and attend
classes in the churches or at the Unity School. More than 70,000 people subscribe to
UNITY magazine, and 1.2 million subscribe to its DAILY WORD. The Association of
Unity Churches provides services to over 1,000 ministries worldwide. The 24-hour
prayer ministry responds to more than 2 million prayer requests each year, including
approximately 1.1 million phone calls and 1 million letters.
Author Neal Vahle presents a fascinating account of our Unity movement,
documenting the lives of the spiritual visionaries who led its development. The book
follows the evolution of the Unity movement through the organization of the Unity
School of Christianity, the development of Unity Village, the history of Silent Unity and
the practice of spiritual healing, the training of Unity students, and the development of
Unity centers and churches.
As Unity continues to expand, the book looks at the challenges facing the
movement in the twenty-first century.
Neal Vahle currently serves as publishing director of UNITY MAGAZINE. He is
the author of OPEN AT THE TOP: THE LIFE OF ERNEST HOLMES and
TORCHBEARER TO LIGHT THE WAY: THE LIFE OF MYRTLE FILLMORE.

Where Two or More Are Gathered
|
By:
Ellie Harold
|
Softcover, 248 pp., $14.95 |
|
Have you outgrown your childhood religion? Does your church no longer meet
your spiritual needs? Ellie Harold's personal quest to find "a church I can breathe in," led
her to understand how churches can evolve to fulfill a growing individual's requirements.
WHERE TWO OR MORE ARE GATHERED reveals the distorted underpinning of
traditional church, shows how transitional churches can serve the contemporary seeker,
and describes a new kind of church designed for profound spiritual transformation.
For ten years she ministered to the Unity-Midtown Church in Atlanta, which she
founded in 1990. Since its inception she experimented with the creation of a new kind of
church. This "new church" is inspired by and modeled after Jesus' statement, "Wherever
two or more are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them." This book
recounts how and why she came to commit her life to the transformation of traditional
notions of what church should be and to the unfoldment of a New Church for the twenty-
first century.
Rev. John Strickland, Past Chairman of the Board of the Association of Unity
Churches says, "Rev. Ellie Howard has written a remarkable book. It is a "must read" for
all who are on a spiritual path. If you have felt that something is missing in your spiritual
life or in your relationship with God, if you have felt that church (either as a minister or
congregant) is not soul-satisfying, I urge you to read and ponder the truths in this book."

Your God Given Potential
|
By: Winifred Wilkinson Hausmann
|
Softcover, 172 pp., $11.95 |
|
I have spent over twenty years in research and in-depth teaching of Charles
Fillmore's concept of the twelve powers---nine years teaching it at Unity Ministerial
School and fourteen in the Continuing Education Program of USRS. I have not found a
better book for the novice than Winifred Wilkinson Hausmann's YOUR GOD-GIVEN
POTENTIAL. It is easy to follow and yet manages to carry great depth.
The title of this book captures our attention and makes us desirous of knowing
what that potential is and how we can tap into its power. Here is a very practical text that
offers specific guidelines for building a personal program of spiritual development for
anyone wanting to achieve such a goal.
In this mind-stretching book, Winifred show you how (with inner guidance) you
can change your thinking, expand your consciousness, and remake your personal world.
Focusing on twelve divinely given powers within us, she offers an in-depth understanding
of each of the powers, which are the source of our God-given potential, and how they
unfold in consciousness.
The message of the book, though simply stated, is profound and deeply
challenging. It is designed to bring new revelations to the beginner and add deeper
insights for study by the longtime Truth student.

Eight Habits of the Hearts |
By: Clifton L. Taulbert
|
Hardcover, 123 pp., $16.95
|
|
This is a delightful inspirational book by the best-selling author of When We
Were Colored and other acclaimed memoirs about growing up in the segregated South.
Now Clifton Taulbert has distilled the essence of his memoirs down to the eight timeless
values ---"Habits of the Heart"---that his elders practiced daily as they built a strong
community for him in the face of adversity.
In this book Taulbert illuminates his message that by building strong communities
we build strong, responsive individuals, holding up his own life as compelling proof.
Taulbert's "benefactors," the kinfolk and neighbors who supported him in his youth, had
no material wealth to pass along, yet their legacy left him richer than most. With
perceptive stories about these unforgettable people who raised him, he illustrates each of
their values and shows us how we can embrace them in our own lives. Taulbert's voice
shines through as a refreshing guide to the spiritual core we as a society seem always to
be seeking.

Of Times and Eternity
|
By: James Dillet Freeman
|
Hardcover, 187 pp., $8,95 |
|
This is a collection of Freeman's writings that had never before appeared in a
book. He has been writing for Unity for almost seventy years. Hundreds of pieces
written by him have appeared in Unity publications and elsewhere. He chose these in the
hope that they will help us answer some of our questions and meet some of our needs ---
and mainly because he liked them.
The pieces came to him in different ways at different times. Writing for him is
kind of a prayer. He asks God if He has anything to tell him that is true about Him and
the world and you and me and life---or that may be helpful to someone---and he asks Him
to help him to put down what comes as simply and vividly as he can.
"I have always had a strong feeling about my writing---at its best I don't write it, it
comes to me, though sometimes only after hard work. Usually it is not an extended piece
that comes, but only bursts and snatches, and it takes work to bring it to completion. But,
I am grateful for any momentary flare of inspiration. For I feel that I have been
vouchsafed an occasional glimpse into the nature of things and have come upon a few
useful truths. And it is a special joy when what comes to me clothes itself---as
fortunately it sometimes does---in words that are not only simple and clear but make a
kind of music; for then I know that those who read it may not only see the truth with their
minds but feel it in their hearts."

Unity Power Stones
|
By: Unity Power Stones
|
Complete set in gift bag, $16.50
Loose stones, $1.25 ea |
|
Early writings on the twelve powers go back to the work of New Thought
pioneers Emma Curtis Hopkins and Annie Rix Militz in the late nineteenth century.
Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, Unity's co founders, were part of a group of metaphysicians
who experimented with and discussed these ideas. Charles wrote early articles about
inner power, and his book Christian Healing (1909) discusses some of these powers,
although his ideas were not yet fully formed. On April 24, 1912, he published in Weekly
Unity the introduction of what was to become his book "The Twelve Powers of Man". This
introduction proved popular and was reprinted several times. In 1920 Charles published
the series "The Twelve Powers of Man," and it was reprinted in 1925-26 and 1929-30 in
Unity Magazine.
The twelve powers are:
- Strength
- Will
- Understanding
- Zeal
- Judgment
- Release
|
- Love
- Power
- Life
- Imagination
- Order
- Faith
|
How to use Power Stones:
Power Stones are not all powerfull symbols that you simply hold onto and bam,
magic is worked. Each stone has its special ability that can be used to help you focus
your energies to accomplish a certain task. It is through this concentration of energy that
the stone helps you work your magic. Use them as a visualization tool. Visualize the
stone you are using to manifest the desired results. , e.g. "My sick friend is full of
strength", or "My mood is changing to one of love". Lay one in a place you will see it
often. Each time you see the colorful stone you will be reminded of greater imagination,
or divine order, or strong faith. These are just a few uses for Unity Power Stones. The
possibilities are endless.

The Little Me and The Great Me
|
By: Lou Austin
|
Softcover, 48pp., $4.95 |
|
You who are responsible for children's mental and spiritual development can help
them, early in life, to an awareness of the presence of these two forces within them.
You
will save them much needless frustration if, as they become aware of their egos, you teach
them that there is within them not one, but two separate wills. Once children understand
that the Little Me (the will of the human self) and THE GREAT ME (the will of the
divine self) are parts of their nature, they will realize that they have been given the
freedom to choose between the two.
When a child has been taught that God has given us freedom to choose between
the two wills within us, it is not likely that he or she will become a problem to parents or
teachers.
"When we become aware of the Power within, our life does change."

My Secret Power
|
Book 2 of the LITTLE ME AND THE GREAT ME series.
by Lou Austin
|
Hardcover, 48pp., $4.95 |
|
The classic fairy tales, with their often frightening and gruesome incidents, usually
have the saving grace of ending with good overcoming evil. However, the fairy tales lead
children to believe that people are either all good or all bad. This is a false and harmful
impression, and not at all necessary to prove that virtue conquers vice. The battle between
good and evil takes place within each person. Children should be given understanding
of this truth early in life.
MY SECRET POWER is a new and more meaningful version of the
CINDERELLA STORY. In this version, Cinderella is aware of and knows The Seven
Secrets. Her mother taught them to her by reading to her from THE LITTLE ME AND
THE GREAT ME book. (If you don't know about The Seven Secrets, you'll find them
on page 5.)
Cinderella knew all of the seven secrets and they helped to make her happy and
everyone around her, too. It was a good thing that she had learned the seven secrets
because things suddenly seemed to go wrong for her and for the county in which she
lived.

Why and How I was Born
|
Book 3 of the LITTLE ME AND THE GREAT ME SERIES
by Lou Austin
|
Hardcover, 47pp., $4.95 |
|
A parent (and grandfather) in his written comment on this manuscript stated,
"This book is badly needed. Unless the subject is discussed properly with a
child before
he learns it in the wrong way outside the home, there is a strong possibility
the child will build up a guilt complex, with all its problems, that will be there
the rest of
his life. This results in tensions, anxiety and many other emotions, all of them
unpleasant."
When grown-ups squirm at the thought of discussing sex with children, it suggests
that there may be something wrong about sex. And to suggest that there is something
wrong about sex is to imply that there is something wrong about God,
the Creator of sex.
We are living in a world where God's part of our creation and in our daily
lives is
being de-emphasized in the adoration of man's scientific achievements, We are
worshipping the creature instead of the Creator, seemingly unaware that it
is the Creator
who keeps the creature's heart beating and his mind working.
We miss the glory and the meaning of God's truly priceless gift, procreation,
when we leave God out of the picture. Reverently should we appreciate that in
this vital
matter, God has made us, in a very real sense, co-creators with Him. Even if no
offspring
is contemplated, an awareness of God's presence and participation
(as the Creative Spirit
of selfless love) in the physical union of husband and wife is essential to
its completeness
and ecstasy. When it becomes second-nature to a child to seek the guidance of
the divine
part of his nature, normal and healthy reactions to all matters,
including sex, can be
predicted.
Finally, from the children's reactions to WHY AND HOW I WAS BORN, it is
crystal clear that the most meaningful thing in the story to each child is
the assurance that
he was chosen and that there is a purpose to his life. Age group - 7 to 97---The Author

Let There Be Light
|
By: Elizabeth Sand Turner
|
Hardcover, 282 pp., $14.95 |
|
From the Unity Classic Library Series, LET THERE BE LIGHT has earned the
"classic" status due to its popularity, durability and uncompromising quality. It is a
respected addition to any metaphysical collection. Characters come alive in Elizabeth
Sand Turner's comprehensive metaphysical interpretation of the Old Testament.
"The Bible was written by men with spiritually illumined minds, and we can
understand their words only as divine intelligence illumines our minds. "Let there be
light." This command is obeyed as we turn to divine intelligence active in us. As we
accept the light the obscurities of the Bible text are clarified, and a revelation of the
supreme truths with which it is replete comes to our eager consciousness."

Conversations With God For Teens
|
By: Neale Donald Walsch
|
Hardcover, 243 pp., $19.95 |
|
Suppose you could ask God any question and get an answer. What would it be?
Well, young people all over the world have been asking those questions. So Neale
Donald Walsch, whose own life has been changed by his conversations with God, had
another conversation. It's a simple, clear, straight-to-the-point dialogue. The answers
may challenge your beliefs about God, money, sex, love, about everything you may have
been taught. But if you ever wanted to know if God is listening to you, if God can really
help, if God cares about you, if there is a God, and if there are answers to your questions,
then this is a book for you.
Because you'll discover that it is not really the author's conversation with God
that matters. It's your own conversation. And there's not a better time to begin than right
now.

shows us that there is an omnipresent spiritual force right at our fingertips that contains
the solution to our problems__ from ill health to financial worries to relationship
difficulties. Drawing from various spiritual traditions, especially from the prayer of Saint
Francis of Assisi, Dyer helps us unplug from the material world and awaken to the divine
within.
Wayne Dyer is the best-selling author of twenty books. He lectures across the
country to groups numbering in the thousands and appears regularly on radio and

God and The Evolving Universe
|
By: James Redfield,
Michael Murphy, Sylvia Timbers
|
Hardcover, 315 pp., $25.95 |
|
In a world that is still wracked by fearful violence and conflict, James Redfield
and Michael Murphy, major co-creators of today's spiritual boom, present an important
message of hope and a vision for the future. The twentieth and twenty-first centuries
have witnessed an ever-widening range of encounters with the transcendent. Daily we
hear and read about supernatural athletic feats, lives transformed by meditative
practices, healing through prayer, and we experience these things ourselves. Many people
sense a growing reconciliation of science and spirituality, and the rise of a new
worldview.
The authors contend that thousands of years of human striving have delivered us
to this very moment, in which each act of self-development is creating a new stage in
planetary evolution, and the emergence of a human species possessed of vastly expanded
spiritual experience.
With exercises that readers can use to develop the abilities they are reading
about, GOD AND THE EVOLVING UNIVERSE heightens readers' awareness of their
place in personal/planetary evolution and sets the stage for actualizing the next level of
human potential.

The Quest For Wholeness
|
By: Robert Brumet
|
Softcover, 279 pp., $14.95 |
|
Robert Brumet takes the idea of wholeness beyond healing or
personal fulfillment
to the realization of our true spiritual Self. He says we
are spiritual beings having a
human experience and that our suffering is the result
of having identified exclusively with
our humanity, ignoring our spiritual nature.
THE QUEST FOR WHOLENESS discusses
this statement and other sometimes startling ideas including:
- We must take responsibility for our part in the healing process. God
always works through us, not for us.
- Guilt is not an inherent part of a metaphysical belief system.
- We are intimately related to everything else in this universe. We
cannot become whole in isolation from others.
THE QUEST FOR WHOLENESS is the third book in the Continuing Quest
series. A helpful guide in your journey of spiritual discovery.
Other books in the Continuing Quest series are: THE QUEST FOR MEANING,
by Jim Rosemergy, and THE QUEST FOR PRAYER, by Mary-Alice and Richard
Jafolla.

UNITY - Wings Across Time
|
By: Association of Unity Churches
|
Hardcover, $50.00 |
|
Honoring the past, celebrating the present and visioning the future of our growing
Unity movement worldwide. A 21st century publication of The Association of Unity
Churches. Glenn Mosley, president and CEO of the Association of Unity Churches writes
in his introduction:
"You are about to take an exciting journey as you wind your way through the
pages of this book. You will meet people who pioneered ministries; all were ministers,
although not all had a credential that said they were. But they were. Others were
growers
of ministries, still others, maintainers of ministries.
Beautiful souls dance through the history of each Unity ministry, from infants
through the elderly. They work(ed) in church bookstores, on building and grounds
maintenance, pray(ed) with Prayer Panels, serve(d) committees and task forces. By a
more recent name, they serve on Ministry Teams.
You will find bits of Association history mingled with the histories of ministries,
study groups, satellite ministries, regions and international churches, prayer
ministries and publishing operations.
Our future is being delivered by the "collective unconscious" and by our
conscious choices, based on the realization that God does not "have" what we need__God
"is" what we need. Read on, dear and sweet traveler."

Daily Word for Weight Loss
|
By: Coleen Zuck & Elaine Meyer
|
Hardcover, 248 pp, $17.95 |
|
Spiritual Guidance to Give You Courage on Your Journey
In this most recent series of Daily Word Books, the authors write: "You may be
questioning, "What makes this book different from hundreds of other books on weight
loss?" First of all, it is not a diet plan; it is a whole-self plan for a journey of healthful
living. Between the covers of this book, you will discover that by uniting the power of
your whole self -- spirit, mind, and body -- you can lose weight, and even more important,
you can maintain that weight loss over a lifetime.
By now you probably know that willpower alone will not bring about the results
you desire. Neither will the best diet plan ever conceived. Yet when you apply the God-
power within you that is waiting to empower you, you will strengthen your willpower and
you intuitively will know what to do to lose weight and to achieve greater health of mind
and body.
You were created for life, but you may need to be refreshed by a greater awareness
of God, a breath of divine inspiration, so that you will move forward in becoming
healthier and happier. Because the spirit of God lives within you, you are offered
constant encouragement to be the healthy, happy person that God created you to be."

Wisdom For A Lifetime
|
By: Alden Studebaker
|
Softcover, 255 pp. $14.95 |
|
"The current generation of people are, for the most part unchurched and,
therefore, un-Bibled. We have become a Bible-illiterate society. Metaphysical Christians
are among those whose Bible proficiency tends to be wanting. Since most have come
from other churches, their aptitude for understanding Scripture is primarily dependent
upon the nature of their prior religious background. So, why this book? Is it actually
possible to rekindle interest in the Bible? Can the Bible be made more readable and
relevant? The answer is a definite yes. Even though the Bible is gathering dust on the
bookshelves of most metaphysical Christians, with the right effort, it can be utilized as a
powerful tool in the unfolding advancement of one's spiritual life. Although every effort
has been made to make WISDOM FOR A LIFETIME scholastically correct, it is not
written for biblical scholars and experts, but rather for those who have little or no Bible
background. It is meant to be a companion to your Bible, your guide, your fishing
manual. Its purpose is to assist you in reading, deciphering, understanding, and gaining
meaningful spiritual benefit from your Bible and to keep it from wasting away on our
bookshelf."

Conversations With God
|
By: Neale Donald Walsch
|
Hardcover, 392 pp, $22.95 |
|
On Sunday, January 6, 2002, the CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD study group
will begin Book 3. These study sessions will begin at 5 PM.
In the introduction to this, the last of the trilogy, the author wrote: "In the writing
of Book 3, every time I picked up a pen I felt I had five million people watching, waiting,
hanging on every word. On this much you can depend: this book was not forced out by
any means. The inspiration either came cleanly, or I simply put the pen down and refused
to write--in one case for well over 14 months. I was determined to produce no book at all,
if it was to be a choice between that and a book I had to produce because I said I would.
While this made my publisher a bit nervous, it went a long way toward giving me
confidence in what was coming through, however long it was taking. I present it now,
with confidence, to you. This book sums up the teachings in the first two installments of
this trilogy. It then carries them forward to their logical, and breathtaking,
conclusion."
