As A Woman Thinketh By:  Dorothy Hulst

Softcover, 64pp., $5.95

 As A Woman Thinketh

Dorothy Hulst had as one of her favorite books AS A MAN THINKETH, by James Allen.  In this short volume, Allen expressed his belief that an individual, through the power of positive thought, forms his or her own character and consequent happiness.  Hulst was inspired by the content of Allen’s book but tired of the mental exercise required to substitute feminine equivalents for masculine terms.  Using a pencil, she crossed out all masculine references, replacing them with feminine words.  The result allows women to identify directly and personally with Allen’s concepts.

The Door of Everything By:  Ruby Nelson

Softcover, 180 pp., $8.95

 The Door Of Everything

Although Ruby Nelson’s book was first published in 1968, this beautiful new paper back edition is as fresh and awakening as anything being published today. Nelson discusses man's ultimate possibility which is the transmutation and ascension of the physical body as Jesus did. Exploring that one idea alone, is worth our reading and consideration. She also describes the beautiful body of Light that we will live in and gives us guidelines on how to attain this perfection. She unfolds for us the true meaning of the Holy Spirit and how we can experience the Second Birth, the birth of the Spirit.

“Come!  Meet me just inside the Door of Everything, in my timeless realm of Being, where all the perfect qualities of your Grand Cosmic Self will intersect and blend into one precious jewel, the precious jewel of Love. The door is set before you and the keys have peen presented with which it may be opened.”

The Healer The Healing Work of Mary Baker Eddy by David L. Keyston

Softcover-256 pp, $13.95

 The Healer

This book delights the reader with many accounts of the awe-inspiring Christian healing work of Mary Baker Eddy. She expressed such great love and dominion through her understanding of God’s Love for man that it enabled her to, “...heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils,”  all through prayer alone.

Relive those inspiring moments when Mary Baker Eddy, discoverer and founder of Christian Science,  discovered God’s power to heal, the same power Jesus exercised in his healing ministry. You will sense the power she reflected as she demonstrated the healing truths of the Bible. You will feel the wonder and awe those close to her experienced when testifying to her remarkable demonstrations of the Christ power. She expressed the mother-love so completely that it blessed all around her. She set forth her method of divine healing, based wholly on the Bible. She challenged the thought of her time as spiritual healing still does today.

African American Wisdom Edited by Reginald McKnight

Hardcover, 112 pp., $12.95

 African American Wisdom

African American Wisdom is a special book, an eclectic gathering of the writings and spoken words of African Americans, past and present.

“It doesn’t take wisdom to know that black Americans has had them some pain.  Read two or three pages of the biography of any noted or notable African American and you will know this. But from that pain, rising like the Phoenix from its smoking ashes, is a wisdom so bright and resplendent that you’ll need your shades to behold it.  Yet, if all that could be referred to as African American wisdom were a mountain, this slender volume would have to be likened to but a teaspoon of that mountain’s rich black soil.”   ------Reginald McKnight

Angels Sing In Me Compiled and Edited by Michael A. Maday & Phillip White

Hardcover, 292 pp., $24.95

Angels Sing In Me

Jim’s “Prayer for Protection” is now so universal that most people don’t know it was written by him. It, too, was taken to the Moon by Apollo 11 pilot Buzz Aldrin and left there in 1969.

Here is James Dillet Freeman at his lyrical, loving, passionate best. Here is the poet read and loved by millions. Here is a tribute to the man who came to stand for the best the movement called Unity has produced.

Angels will sing in you as you read this wonderful book.

The Fountain of Youth By:   Peter Kelder

Hardcover, 106 pp., $12.00

It’s the late 1920s in colonial India.

Driven by a seemingly irrational wish, an aging British Army officer embarks upon an adventure of discovery that leads to forbidden Tibet, an ancient land obscured by centuries of isolation; a land of wonder, where miraculous feats are part of everyday life. There, in the shadows of the earth’s tallest mountains, he stumbles on the hidden Shangri-La, a mysterious place without time where people age but somehow never grow old.

So Peter Kelder’s chronicle of Colonel Bradford, whose extraordinary adventure brings him back to the West years later at age 73, looking and acting like a man of 45!

How did he accomplish this remarkable feat of rejuvenation? The secret, says Bradford, is a series of five ancient Tibetan exercises, which anyone can perform in a matter of minutes.  These simple exercises, which he calls the Five Rites, restore youthful health and vitality by balancing and harmonizing invisible energy vortexes within the body.

Pure Unlimited Love By: Sir John Templeton

Softcover, 59pp., $6.95.

Sometimes the most simple concepts can be the most difficult to explain.  The reality of love, so often discussed, is one of those deceptively simple ideas.  In fact, understanding and expressing unconditional love, also called agape, can be a lifelong quest.  Is it an action, a universal energy, or a creative principle? And if we understand it, can its expression ever be realized, or is it simply a divine attribute?

These and other questions are addressed in an inspirational, philosophical, and yet practical essay from Sir John Templeton.  He seeks to define pure, unlimited love as the “transcendent power of divine love that expresses itself through our hearts and minds when we are open and receptive to it.”  Its greatest attributes are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.

  Mother God By:  Sylvia Browne

Hardcover, 163pp., $14.95.

Throughout ancient history, in cultures all around the world, people believed in both male and female gods and goddesses.  Yet, suddenly, the Mother God seemed to disappear.  Did She ever really exist?  Where did She go?  And why is She making a comeback now?  Her resurgence is not some New Age fad.  The Mother God is anything but “new.”  She’s been around for as long as humans have had a belief in God, long before the belief in reincarnation was born out of the Egyptian religion.  You can rightfully say that She has been around as long as the belief in angels.

Whenever you face a situation that seems insurmountable, call on Mother God, and She can help give you the answer.

  Know Thyself By:   Richard Lynch

Hardcover, 201 pp., $9.95

To every person who thinks deeply there comes a time when he is brought face-to-face with the question, "What is God and what does God mean to me?"   That God must mean something is inevitable.  We can find no comfort in seeking to dismiss the subject altogether, nor can we be happy so long as we are torn by doubt and uncertainty. What we think about God, whether consciously or subconsciously, influences everything that we think about ourselves, about living and learning and loving. God is the great meaning of the universe and of our individual existence.

Each of us is an individual expression of God. We find God as we become conscious of our at-one-ment with Him. To the degree that we realize this, we make it possible for God to express through us. Conscious unity with the Father brings us into a realization of our spiritual inheritance. We have God's mind, life, and power as we maintain contact with them in God. When we have found and experienced God we shall know God, and we shall know ourselves.

Thank God for Prayer By: Russell W. Lake

Hardcover, 293 pp., $6.95

Russell Lake discusses prayer from many viewpoints and brings us to realize that prayer is the most important element in our climb toward the highest expression of our inner selves.  He considers how to pray, and clears away not only the mystique but also the widespread misinformation about what prayer is. Jesus Christ in His teaching did not separate favored from unfavored ones and say these may pray and those may not.  His message was for all people.  He told the multitudes to pray.  Everyone may pray; everyone can pray; everyone must pray.

Prayer is simple but not easy, uncomplicated but requires know-how and, certainly, practice.  It is simple because it is neither more nor less than communion with God.  It is not easy because it demands discipline and may require that we change our habitual thinking.

Fulfillment is ours through prayer which lifts our consciousness into at-one-ment with God and Principle and divine law. This is what prayer does for us.  It is by the grace of God a privilege and inexpressible joy.

Thank God for prayer!

Skeptical, Sam is not so sure there is a god, and why would God be talking to Sam anyway? Maybe this was the work of a hacker?

Sam decides to investigate, and becomes engrossed in conversations with the mysterious person on the other end.  Together they explore the great questions arising out of evolution, astronomy, the laws of nature, and the possibility of miracles.  Not that Sam knew much science. Fortunately the stranger was able to explain the science from scratch in a way that Sam could understand.  They also talked about the problems of evil and suffering, which really made Sam start thinking.

So, was the intruder really God___God on the Internet___or a hacker? Readers will have to make up their own minds.

Loving What Is By: Byron Katie

Softcover, 319 pp, $15.00

Loving What Is

In the midst of a normal life, Katie became increasingly depressed and desperate. Then one morning, she woke up in a state of absolute joy, filled with the realization of how her own suffering had ended.  The freedom of that realization has never left her, and now in LOVING WHAT IS you can discover the same freedom through what she calls "The Work."

The Work is simply four questions that, when applied to a specific problem, enable you to see what is troubling you in an entirely different light.  As Katie says, "It’s not the problem that causes our suffering; it’s our thinking about the problem."  Contrary to popular belief, trying to let go of a painful thought never works; instead, once we have done The Work, the thought lets go of us.  At that point, we can truly love what is, just as it is.

The Prayer Way to Health, Wealth and Happiness By:  Lowell Fillmore

Hardcover, 360 pp., $12.95

Part of the Unity Classic Library Series, this is a practical book, offering a commonsense approach to problem solving through prayer and the activity generated by listening for answers to our prayers.

The eldest son of Unity cofounders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore was raised in an environment of affirmative prayer, so it was natural that he would write about prayer as a means to achieve health, wealth, and happiness.  The thirteen sections of this book are based on Truth affirmations Lowell Fillmore compiled from experience.  He called these affirmations "gadgets," which he found valuable in meeting everyday problems involving health, prosperity, and human relationships. A fourteenth section contains Lowell Fillmore's reflections on the Lord's Prayer.

The Power of Prayer By:  Glenn Mosley and Joanna Hill

Hardcover, 94 pp., $12.95

The Power of Prayer

The power of prayer has been recognized for immeasurable time.  By reading prayers from religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam, we share the sense of a common experience.  The deepest feelings are similar, concern for family, assistance in healing, a longing for peace, or a wish for greater wisdom.

For some people, prayer can be thought of as a way to ask for specific goals or special favors. This type of prayer may or may not be effective. Another type of prayer exists when all selfish desire is put aside and we feel ourselves in communion with God. At this point, our greatest wish is that God’s will be done.  Prayer then becomes more than a means to an end, it becomes a state of humility and of awe.  It can exist whether we are washing the floor or composing a symphony.  Prayer is communion with the Divine, a universal, loving, creative force that exists  in a variety of ways for people around the world.

This book brings together an inspirational collection of prayers suitable for all ages and traditions.  In addition, it offers insight and guidance about the nature of prayer that will be useful for the serious seeker.

Glen Moseley has served as executive director and CEO of the Association of Unity Churches since 1985. Joanna Hill is director of the Templeton Foundation Press.

Like a Miracle By: Ernest C. Wilson

Hardcover, 202 pp., $6.95

Like A Miracle

"It seemed like a miracle!" That is the way they start to tell their story of something remarkable that has taken place in their life, or in the life of someone close to them:  a physical healing, the solution of some seemingly unsolvable problem, the attainment of some goal in life, the dissolving of some misunderstanding, the forgiveness of a wrongdoing, or an outcome that seemed "too good to be true."

These are the kinds of things, or people, or situations that you will find in this book.

The principles are true.  The personal stories are true: they have actually happened to actual people.  Many of them would not be acceptable in a book of fiction because they seem too incredible. What these people did might not be the things for you to do.  But the prayers they used are universal in scope and application.  The stories of human faith, prayer, courage, and overcoming are peculiar to each individual just as your name, your personality, your situation, are peculiar to you. You can do all things needful if you know and use the God-given power that is in you.

If one of these people were telling you his story he would very likely begin with the words, "It seems to me like a miracle!" It does to me, too.

Finding Yourself in Transition By:  Robert Brumet

Softcover, 164 pp., $12.95

Finding Yourself in Transition

"For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven."  And there is a natural flow of seasons in our own lives.  We experience seasons of activity and growth and seasons of rest and renewal. Life is about growth, unfoldment, and change, which give us the incentive to explore new dimensions of living.

FINDING YOURSELF IN TRANSITION explores the spiritual opportunities inherent in life’s changes and helps us discover how to use them as a gateway to greater personal and spiritual growth.
